Chapter 41

Ariela

"Ariela?" I was awakened by this gentle voice and a slight shaking. I grumbled because I wanted to sleep.

"Ariela, that must be uncomfortable."

I slowly opened my eyes and a familiar pair of grey eyes looked at me. Tiana looked worried and I had to blink a few times to get a full view.

It took me a moment to realize that I was sitting on the couch, still wearing my wedding dress.

So my plan had worked. I had wanted to pretend that I had accidentally fallen asleep on the couch. That way no one could blame me for not sleeping in my bed. How wonderfully that had worked.

"Everything OK?" I nodded, even though I would like to take off this dress. Comfortable was something else entirely. It was unsuitable for sleeping.
