Chapter 227. To See Again

Removing her phone from her pocket, her gaze lingered on it. She wanted to call her mother-in-law to know how things were in the hospital. She could not help but feel worried. Thoughts after thoughts and what ifs made her mind so busy at that time, that even though she wasn’t feeling well, she could not put herself to rest on the bed.

In the living room, Michelle paced slowly back and forth, practicing breathing exercises while organizing her haywire mind. Her father told her not to think negatively, telling her that there would be great news when Ethan and Marsha went home.

"You’re overthinking it, sweetheart," Gregory said as the old man watched her from the couch.

"Ethan is a bit fragile. I’m worried that if he heard bad news, he’d breakdown."

"That isn’t the Ethan I used to know."

"I know, Dad. But his conditions make him a different person now."

Gregory arched his brow. "So you think he’s a different person now because of his condition?"
