Chapter 135
Layla’s POV
As Ken came to a stop right in front of my lawn, I gave him my gratitude and stepped out. I heard him step out and shut the door too but I don’t turn around.
“Hey,” I heard his voice from behind as soon as I out a foot on my doorstep.
Turning around, I replied “yes?”
“Um... If it won’t be much trouble, I would like to invite you over for a barbeque tonight. My parents are pulling it tonight, inviting a couple of people so I thought it would be really nice for you to be there. Change of scenery,” he chuckles cutely.
But I couldn’t be there. Because I was into hiding.
“I... I don’t know Ken...”
“Before you say anything, my family don’t bite. Plus you came here to clear your head right? So why not start with barbeque night then later on we can talk about going hiking and swimming and bowling and clubbing and all that.”
