Dani’s POV

Her confidence was maddening, her arrogance infuriating. But I couldn’t let her see how much her words rattled me. I had to stay strong, to keep fighting, even if it felt like I was losing ground with every passing second.

“You’re making a mistake, Isabella,” I said firmly, my voice steady despite the fear gnawing at me. “Whatever you think you’re gaining by getting rid of me, it won’t be worth it. Logan will see you for who you really are, and when he does, you’ll lose everything.”

Her smile returned, colder and more calculating than ever. “We’ll see about that, won’t we?”

The room fell silent, the tension between us crackling like a live wire. My mind raced, searching for a way out, for a way to turn the tables. But the odds were stacked against me, and Isabella knew it.

She stepped back, her eyes never leaving mine. “Enjoy your time here, Dani,” she said, her tone almost mocking. “It won’t be long now.”
