I didn’t respond right away, letting his words hang in the air. Finally, I spoke, my tone measured. 

“Logan won’t see anything he doesn’t need to see. And as for losing everything... that’s not going to happen. Because I don’t lose, Dani. Not to you, not to anyone.”
