Isabella’s POV

He studied me for a moment, his brow furrowed. “I just want to make sure you are not worried about all of this,” he said finally. “I know the situation with Dani’s disappearance is strange, but I will figure it out. You don’t need to stress about it.”

I gave him a soft smile, though inside, I wanted to scream. Stress about it? The irony of his words was almost laughable. “Of course, Logan,” I said gently. “I trust you to handle it. I'm just trying to be supportive.”

He nodded, his expression softening slightly. “I appreciate that. I really do,” he said.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Instead, I moved closer to him, resting a hand lightly on his arm. 

“You have been working so hard, Logan. Maybe you should take a break tonight, relax a little,” I said, trying to make my voice sound as soft as possible.

He gave me a small smile. “I will think about it,” he said, though his tone was distracted. I could
