Maddie's POV

He was warm, attentive, and clearly smitten with Layla. Meanwhile, the Logan I knew was arrogant, loving, and always kept his emotions guarded. 

There was no way they were the same person.

Had I really jumped to conclusions that quickly? Had I been so blinded by my past experiences with Logan that I didn’t even consider the possibility that Layla’s Logan could be someone completely different?

I felt a wave of guilt wash over me, my heart sinking. I’d been so harsh, so judgmental. I’d convinced myself that Layla was making a mistake, that she was falling for a heartbreaker who would only hurt her in the end. 

But now… now I realized that I didn’t even know the man she was seeing.

All this time, I’d been projecting my own fears and insecurities onto her relationship, assuming the worst because of my own experiences. But Layla’s Mr. Handsome wasn’t the Logan I knew.
