Isabella's POV
“I miss you,” Logan murmured, his voice dropping. “I wish you were here.”
I almost gasped, my heart seizing at his words. I gripped the doorframe, my nails digging into the wood as a wave of jealousy crashed over me.
I could feel my face contorting, a bitter taste rising in my throat. He missed her? He wished she was here? What about me? What about his wife? The woman he married? The mother of his child?
A cold chill ran down my spine as his voice softened even more.
“I can’t wait to see you again, Layla.”
That was it. I’d heard enough. I turned on my heel, my vision blurring with rage as I stormed back to my room.
I slammed the door behind me, the echo ringing in my ears as I paced the floor, my mind reeling. Logan was seeing Layla. He was seeing her behind my back, right here in Puerto Rico.
