Maxine’s POV

One evening, while I was helping Elena prepare for the baby’s arrival, we sat down to talk.

"Maxine, have you thought about what you want to do next?" she asked.

"I’m not sure," I admitted. "I’ve been so focused on helping everyone else that I haven’t thought much about my future."

"You have so much potential," Elena said softly. "Always put yourself first. And try to make a decision."

Her words stayed with me as I went to bed that night. I realized that while it was important to help others, I also needed to think about my happiness and well-being.

The next morning, I woke up feeling determined and ready to try new things. I decided to take things one day at a time and focus on creating a balanced life for myself.

As I headed out to start my day, I decided to love myself more. I might not have all the answers, but I was eager to take the step, and surely I will.
