Chapter 67

Maxine’s POV

"Oh, Tobias, this is wonderful news!" she cried, her heart overflowing with joy and gratitude.

Tobias held her close, his own eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "Yes, it is, my love. Yes, it is," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.

I watched the scene unfold before me, my heart was swelling with happiness. I had done it. I had helped bring new life into the world, just as I had always believed I could.

As Tobias and Ella hugged each other, I quietly slipped out of the room, and into the living room, leaving them to revel in the joy of their newfound blessing. And as I stayed in the living room, I couldn't help but smile. For in that moment, I knew that I had truly made a difference.

As Tobias and Ella came out from the living room, they were knotted, holding hands, with beaming smiles that could light up the whole neighborhood. It was one of those moments that made you believe in love, even if it wasn't for me.
