Maxine’s POV

"I don’t want to get my hopes up too much," she said, smiling. "But I do feel hopeful."

"That’s the spirit," I encouraged her. "Keep believing, and things will work out. But also have yourself tested."

She nodded and replied, “Yes, of course. I will be at the hospital first thing tomorrow morning. And I hope it comes out positively.”

I chuckled at her words. This is the kind of energy I want. It would be so great. The result wouldn't be just about Tobias and Ella, it would be about me too. The fact I could make a woman get pregnant is the most rewarding. And I bet my name would go far.
