Chapter 90

Maxine’s POV

"The Alpha's here!" a younger nurse shrieked as she burst into the hallway. I froze when I was about to draw blood from one of the patients.

I looked up just in time to see the double doors swing open. Liam walked in. He was wearing all back, even a black coat to match. Kris and Varis flanked him on either side.

He walked with a vengeance, with an aura that caused other members of the pack to step aside for him. Everyone stared in awe at him, including me.

There was something ethereal about him. The clean cut of his chiseled jaw, his glossy black hair, his full red lips, his perfect white skin. Maybe it was the way he carried himself. But it made him look unreal.

As he reached me, his eyes met mine briefly before he walked by. Kris offered a little smile. "Hello, little lady," he whispered as he passed by me.

"H-hi," I stuttered back.
