Jormun ended up planning the entire date with Killian for me. He decided to get us reservations at one of his restaurants that had a hotel attached to it.

I realized that even though he was letting me go out with Killian and possibly stay out for an entire night on my own, he still had complete control over the situation.

“I will not be able to go with you, mistress,” Andra complained as she helped me pack an overnight bag for my stay at the hotel.

“You will be fine without me,” I responded.

“But! What if something bad happens?” she asked.

“We are staying at one of Jormun’s properties. Jormun has already set up a security detail for my stay there. If anything does happen, I will have twenty or more guards ready to whisk me away to safety,” I reassured her.

“But you won’t have me!” she exclaimed.

I looked at her, surprised by the fact that she was shouting at me.

“I am the best of the best, and my job is to protect you!” she expressed.<
