Chapter 67
Andra was already in my room with a tray of food when I returned to the penthouse. She told me that the three men had begun preparing a search party for me as soon as they blinked, and I disappeared. I sent her to go tell them that I had returned, then ate my meal in silence.
I had to admit, it felt really nice seeing Marian again. However, it was not nice enough to make me want to return to the pack in any way, shape, or form. Marian was just the closest thing I had to a mother, and I was glad to see that she held no ill will toward me despite my decision to leave the pack.
“Mistress.” Andra returned to my room. I could tell that she had not returned alone. The mingling scents of Daring, Jormun, and Renard lingered by the door.
“Yes?” I answered.
“They have requested an audience with you,” she bowed her head.
