Chapter 66
The greeting I received when I entered the dining room was not exactly what I had been expecting. Instead of it being overflowing with emotion, it was the opposite.
Jormun once again had his protective wall of ice up, and it appeared that it was cold enough to cause Daring and Renard to create a wall of ice themselves.
“Good evening,” Jormun greeted me coldly.
The other two men just nodded their heads at me as they continued to eat. I looked at them in confusion, refusing to sit down when they all exhibited such a cold response.
“I would not have returned if I knew I was going to be treated so coldly,” I commented. Andra pulled out my chair, but I shook my head. “I do not want to sit with them if they are going to behave like this.”
“Stop being a brat and come eat your dinner,” Jormun commanded.
