Chapter 70

Once I finished eating the snack Renard ordered for me, Daring had me immediately start taking his tests.

For the next few hours, I completed test after test. Daring started grading each of them as soon as I handed them back to him. I was surprised with how confident I felt in my understanding of the topics I was being tested on.

“Last one?” I asked as he handed me the last packet from the pile of tests he had sitting on the desk.

“Last one,” he confirmed.

I sighed with relief and then jumped into taking the test. Thirty minutes later, I was done with my studies for the day.

“Finally!” I exclaimed as Daring took the last test from me.

Renard came over to me with a cup of tea. He smiled softly as we both crossed our fingers, hoping that all this hard work would pay off in the end.

“Alright.” Daring stood up from the desk after a few minutes. He put the last test in the now-graded pile of tests on the desk and turned to Renard and me. “You pas
