“Come again?” I asked Jormun as I looked at him in bewilderment. I could not help but wonder if he had finally lost his mind.

“Here me out,” Jormun said quickly. “Killian no longer has a hold on you, and you requested I set it up last night to make it look like he freaked out on you. What if we created a narrative that I found you heartbroken and swooped in to save you?” he offered.

“You just want to be my knight in shining armor,” I commented.

“True,” he smiled softly as he agreed with me.

“What about your two very well-known girlfriends?” Andra questioned.

“Yeah!” I exclaimed. “How do you plan on explaining them away?” I asked.

“Just tell the truth,” Jormun shrugged. “I doubt anyone would actually care that they were bodyguards simply posing as my partners so I did not have to entertain other women. Most people think I am an oddball reclusive anyway. I don’t think it would surprise them.”
