Chapter 17

Once he had left, Victoria checked on Saya to make sure she was still sleeping and then went back into the kitchen area to tidy up the mess they had left behind. Before she could finish, her stomach got the best of her, and she ended up devouring two sandwiches. She took the rest of the sliced apples, made Saya a sandwich, and placed it on a plate for when the child woke up. She wanted to keep her mind as far as possible away from what happened earlier, even though she could still feel the imprint of his lips over her body. She went back to Saya’s room, put her food on the table next to the bed, and quietly slipped out.

She went back to the room they had coupled in and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked the same on the outside, but she definitely felt different on the inside.
