Chapter 24
“Garrison!” Victoria shouted, walking to the back. He didn’t even tell her. They spent all that time together, and he told her nothing. She pushed open the door and then slammed it behind her.
“How dare you not tell me you were sending them away!” she shouted.
He was standing by the window and looked as if he had been waiting the short time she had been in the room with Saya.
“I don’t have to explain my actions or decisions to you, Victoria. This is my property, and I will handle things the way I see fit,” he said, focusing his eyes on her.
She swallowed hard. This room brought back memories that were already still fresh in her mind. “I didn’t mean it like that. It’s just that you could have told me, Garrison, prepared me so it wouldn’t hurt so much. I don’t understand how I have become so attached in such a short amount of time, but I have,” she said, shifting her eyes to the ground.
