Chapter 11
The receptionist undressed Uriah with her eyes, biting her bottom lip as she stared at him from head to toe, completely ignoring Erin. Was that not supposed to be unprofessional? Erin wanted to smack her across the face, but she had no right, and doing so would certainly cause a scene. The girl acted like Erin was not present. She puckered her lips and batted her eyelids too many times in a minute while talking to Uriah. It bothered Erin.
“There is only one room left, sir,” she heard the doll-looking receptionist say. She looked at Uriah and back at the receptionist.
“We booked rooms beforehand,” Uriah said, appalled.
“You did but before I could check, your secretary ended the call. I called back to inform her about the situation, but the line was not going through. We have a suite available though. You might decide to use it,” she said looking at Uriah.
