Paxton gave me an oddly suspicious look, so I can only assume he saw the astonishment on my face and responded accordingly.

"I believe you to be Russell's sibling. I have a lot of information to share with you."

The mention of Paxton's brother did not elicit any reaction from Paxton, either in the form of a verbal response or facial expression.

"By that, I mean you vowed to make his life an absolute hell; congratulations!" As I tapped the end of my umbrella into the concrete, I couldn't help but giggle.

It makes sense to me why Paxton would want to get back at his brother. After all, it is the most effective method for letting out some of the pent-up rage that one has.

After all, this is what my job entails.

Paxton had ill will toward me for a considerable amount of time. He experienced humiliation as a result of the ease with which I was able to defeat him. On the other hand, he was capable of putting up a serious challenge to me.
