Rose’s POV

I struggled to open my eyes, feeling a brooding headache. The room around me appeared strange, and my mind was clouded with chaos. As my consciousness slowly returned, I realized I was lying on the floor, and I was cold.

“Rose!” The voice called again, more urgent this time. I recognized it as Kanen’s, but he sounded unusual. It was terrifying and I didn’t want to open my eyes to see the beast he had turned into.
