Rose’s POV

I continued to run until I was sure that there was no threat. I sat down by the oak tree, catching my breath. It was a close call.

When I was able to walk again. I proceeded and finally, I found myself back in the old cave of the three brothers.

As soon as they saw me, they started laughing. “Luna, what happened? Why are you back?” He asked, sarcastically. I knew that they would laugh and blame me. I understand that was why I wasn’t angry at their mockery questions.

One of them questioned, with a wide smirk on his face, from the look on his face he seemed to be enjoying my predicament. “Luna, we already told you that it was not safe to travel through these woods at this time of the day, especially alone. There are many dangers, and the path can be tricky. You should’ve listened to us and stayed with us until the morning. It’s good nothing happened to you.”
