“It’s been a long day,” I whispered to myself, letting out a deep sigh.

I wasn’t sure how long I had been lying there when I heard someone approach me. I sat up, trying to stretch my eyes into the darkness, and saw Elise standing there. She had that look on her face—the one that told me she wasn’t ready to sleep just yet.

“Can’t sleep, you need to rest because we will soon start to walk very soon?” I asked, patting the space next to me.
