Chief Commander’s POV

“Hold your positions,” I ordered, trying to keep my voice steady. “I’ll speak with her.” I told my men and slowly walked to where she stood.

The men obeyed, forming a tight formation as I stepped forward. My heart pounded in my chest as I approached her, each step feeling heavier than the last. When I was close enough to see her face, I saw the fear in her eyes, but there was also a little courage there that I recognized all too well.

“Luna Rose,” I greeted her, bowing my head out of respect. “What are you doing here?” I asked with so much respect.
