Rose’s POV

I pushed my hair backwards, as sweat dripped from my forehead, matting my hands. The guards were cold here, and I had a feeling that they would not let me to move towards him. It annoyed me even more.

“Did you miss your way?” one of the guards called out.

I gritted my teeth. “I need to talk to Alpha Kanen. It’s urgent,” I said stiffly.

They glared at me. “You can wait in the Alpha’s quarters. He would be there when he wills. I believe that you know you would be staying with him from now on,” one of the guards informed me.

I glared at him. “I’m not here to speak to you. Let me pass because I need to speak to Alpha Kanen right now. This is very important for me,” I said tersely.

One of the men stepped forward, and somehow I could see the Alpha picking up a lily from its nest. Anger sizzled inside me, knowing he could hear everything that I was saying and he chose not to do anything about it.
