Alpha Kanen’s POV

The fire crackled softly, and as I sat in silence, staring into the flames, an idea began to form in my mind.

A plan, a way to get closer to this mysterious Alpha who had taken my place.

The more I thought about it, the more the pieces started to fit together, and a smile formed at the corners of my mouth.

I must have been smiling for a while because Teresa noticed.

She looked at me with a raised brow, her eyes curious. “Why are you smiling like that?” she asked, leaning in a bit.

I shook my head, trying to wipe the grin off my face, but I couldn’t help it. “I think I’ve got a plan,” I said, keeping my voice low. “But I’m going to need your help.” I begged her so sweetly.

Teresa’s expression changed. She seemed a little worried, but at the same time, there was excitement in her eyes.

“What kind of plan are you talking about?” she asked cautiously.

“I’m going to the palace,” I said firmly, sitting up strai
