I felt pain when I saw my people suffering, I just couldn’t hold back the pain I felt seeing them suffer and being trapped.
How I wish something could be done right now.
My generals, tired and battered, had finally raised their heads, but their memories were shattered.
The weight of our problem hung heavy over us all, but now was not the time for weakness.
I had to tell them my plan, but carefully.
I looked at them once more, each face tired and worn from who knows how long in this place.
They needed hope, and I was their only chance. But I had to be careful. No one could know I had been here—not yet.
I bent down, speaking softly but firmly. “Listen to me, all of you,” I began, making sure my voice carried enough authority to hold their attention. “I’m going to get you out of here, but it has to be done carefully. You cannot tell anyone about this…about me.” I was being specific with my instructions.
