Alpha Kanen’s POV
As I stood there, looking at the tired and broken generals, something recalled to me.
Time had slipped away, and I had stayed too long. The prison was too quiet for comfort, and a part of me felt insecure.
I needed to leave before I drew unwanted attention, but due to what I had learned made it hard to move.
Still, something in my gut told me it was time to go.
I turned toward the exit, my footsteps silent but quick.
The dungeon was dark and cold, its narrow corridors twisting and turning like a maze.
I kept my head low, hiding into the shadows, hoping the guards wouldn’t notice I had been there.
