Rose’s POV

I was excited out of my wits. Joe was here! I couldn’t wait to tell Alpha Kanen about this. I wondered how he would react to this, but a part of me felt it was going to make me more happy as he had been pairing me with friends of recent.

Alpha Kanen was very busy and I knew it. A plan was going underway and he didn’t want ne bothered, and I knew that was why he sought to occupy me with friends.

I appreciated it a lot, as I preferred this to the solemnity and loneliness that surrounded me at that room, and the unreadable faces of those guards.

Katherine was going on and on about something that she thought was very interesting, that was happening in the other maiden quarters I had served at when I was released from the dungeon.
