King Derek’s POV

It felt like the world was closing on me, my world crashing down before me and I couldn’t get a grasp of Eleanor, I tried to sense her if she was close by, but I was unable to perceive a scent of her. 

I had sent guards out of the pack to look for her, either dead or alive, and they haven’t returned yet, I had hoped it was all a lie, and she was alive somewhere faking her death.

I threw away the file I was walking on as I tried to steady my breathing, I couldn’t do anything or think straight without Eleanor next to me, it felt like my world was crashing down before me. 

I had to use all my willpower not to break down into tears, crying out of the raw pain I felt without caring about what the people would think when they see me nor do I care about the judging eyes.
