Chapter 44

Eleanor’s POV

I lay on the soft couch, deep in thought, thinking about my life back at the Lycan King’s Park. I wondered how Derek reacted to the news of my death. Did he kill my parents? Was running away really a good idea? I lay down there with so many unanswered thoughts. I stood up from the couch looking around for something to do cause I was bored and tired of laying there all day, I spotted the books arranged on the shelf, I picked one of the books and glanced through. 

Just then I heard a knock on the door, I ran toward the door with excitement and swung it open. “Zora what took you so long!” I said excitedly as I hugged Zora before collecting the grocery bag from her hands.

“I am sorry Eli, the traffic is always bad at this time of the year, did you miss me?” she asked with a smile on her face.

“Of course I did I was so bored, I almost read a book” I replied jokingly and we both burst out laughing.
