It was hard for me to accept that Cynthia had just done that to Tori. Her innocent look was really deceiving. I couldn't help but shake my head as I made my way back to our table, only to discover that nobody was there.

Where did they disappear to?

I had just come back from talking to Tori, and she said that she needed time to think about our relationship, and the wedding. She’s currently staying at the house with my mom, and she informed me that she would be spending the night in a hotel because of what happened earlier.

‘‘Is she the reason why you chose to stay at Anderson villa instead of your own house with your mom?’’ I remembered her asking me as we waited for a cab to arrive. She declined my offer to drive her to the hotel.

‘‘God, Tori… I already told you. I’m Seb's business partner in this resort venture, so I needed to stay there. Cynthia is a relative of mine. It's not necessary for you to feel envious of her...’’ I tried to soothe her,
