Chapter 40. Punishment
POV: Seline
Whatever Slate was trying to pull off, she wouldn’t let him win. She knew that Brion was a tough competitor. And she would support him this time… at all costs.
If not for Slate, who was guarding her every move. She rolled her eyes at him.
“Don’t try anything fishy this time, Seline. I am warning you. You must be fair and square.” He reminded her.
“Whatever you say.” She replied annoyingly.
The competition had already started as they picked a number inside the box that Slate had prepared. He really didn’t want her to prepare it because she might be biased in choosing Denver’s first opponent.
Well, he wasn’t completely wrong about his hunch, anyway. But she just wanted to be prepared, and Slate was making it too hard for her.
“What is it with you this time?” She curiously inquired, as she still did not know why he was doing this.
However, she wasn’t expecting Slate’s serious expression from staring at the on-going competition
