Chapter 39. Competition
POV: Seline
She was annoyed. No, being annoyed is an understatement of what she truly feels. She wanted to curse out loud. And she knew that it was a mix of dismay and irritation at his acceptance to become a servant omega.
However, Seline knew that it was something that wasn’t as shallow as that. She knew that in the deeper part of her skin – her heart was pounding so hard, as if it had found something again.
How could it be resurrected by mere eye to eye contact?
“F*ck it!” She cursed under her breath as she harshly combed her dark chocolate long hair and gritted her teeth.
A loud knock on her door made her let out a breathy sigh and calm herself. This is not her. She needed to calm down, as did her heart.
“Who is it?” She managed to say – using her calm demeanor this time.
If it was Slate, then her expression shouldn’t give her away, or she wouldn’t hear the end of his mocking commentaries.
“It’s me.”
She was right. She rolled
