Mrs. Woods narrowed her eyes at the twins, breaking the silence. "I'll touch base with you both later. We have guests—our new neighbors. Be polite and introduce yourselves."
The young woman looked up at us with a shy smile. Her blonde hair was thrown into a messy bun, with a few loose strands framing her sharp features and high cheekbones. Her grey eyes had a hint of red, as if she’d been crying.
"I'm Michelle," she said, glancing at her brother, who was still frozen in place, staring at me. "And this is my twin, Lincoln."
Once Lincoln snapped out of his daze, he looked down and casually raked his fingers through his tousled hair, a look that many tried to pull off, but few succeed at. He was one of the lucky ones.
From my seat, I could see him clearly since he was avoiding eye contact. He was undeniably good-looking, but I wasn’t interested. My eyes were solely on Kaden.
Lincoln seemed different now, quiet and unintereste
