I need him now. I needed to get the money he promised me so that I could get back my house. I couldn’t live with Liza forever.
I stayed outside the L. Carter building and waited for Enzo to come out. He told me earlier that he would come here.
I kept myself occupied by watching the people move back and forth, and as a result, I failed to notice that it was already getting dark outside.
As a bolt of lightning streaked across the dark sky, I flinched. A thunderclap boomed, quickly followed by another.
