Silas’s POV

“Do you know how worried I’ve been, searching for you in all your classes? You missed Nature Chemistry and Combats gym class. Elena has been on my ass.”

“I don’t remember needing to answer to anyone,” I growl.

Lucas is usually nosey but lately, he’s just been a tad bit too inquisitive in what I’m up to, which frankly makes him more questionable and annoying than normal.

“C’mon, man, what’s going on? Is this about that Freya girl?” He says her name in a manner that seems almost disrespectful and rubs me off the wrong way instantly.

“You win some, you lose some. Just drop her case once and for all. We’ll find some new plaything you can play on to keep you busy.”
