Chapter 37. Pathetic & Scared

Lilly’s POV

“You’re surely begging for a beating!” the voice hissed.

Sade paused for a brief moment before her expression hardened, her mouth twisting in disgust.

“Look at you!” she mocked. “So brave and self-confident. But I have news for you: in your current condition, you hold no power over me!”

My body was doing inexplicable things—twisting and turning against my will. The pain was excruciating; it felt as if everything inside me were being ripped apart.

“It’s a pity, actually,” Sade continued. “I was somewhat looking forward to seeing what you actually looked like. It seems we both won’t get that opportunity tonight.”

She shrugged, a sinister smile playing on her lips.
