Lex’s POV

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing—I was stunned.

How could this possibly be true? Lilly can’t be my mate! There had to be some strange trickery at play here.

Was she really the blonde girl with pigtails from my childhood? Was she truly the girl from my dreams?

“Well,” Lotus interrupted. “We both know Asena is our fated mate… that means Lilly is too…”

“But Lilly is…” I muttered, frustration bubbling up as I shook my head. “No… she can’t be. There wasn’t even a faint spark the last time we touched…”
