Lilly’s POV

I wasn’t sure where Zack was taking me, but a flutter of excitement bubbled up as we pulled away from the house. After everything that had happened, the idea of escaping—if just for a few hours—was strangely comforting.

“Road trip!” Asena exclaimed in my mind, her enthusiasm infectious. “This is going to be so much fun!”
