Lex’s POV
I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Sade’s hands were firmly intertwined around my arm, clinging to me like sticky gum under my shoe. Every time I tried to pull away, she only tightened her grip, making any attempt at escape impossible.
Lotus didn’t make things any easier. He kept growling and baring his teeth at her, his frustration seeping through.
Eventually, I had to block him off with an invisible wall to prevent him from taking control and doing something reckless. With my focus split between Sade and Lotus, I felt the weight of the moment heavy on my shoulders.
