Chapter 75. She’s Your Future

Lilly’s POV

I sighed and smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror. My makeup was flawless, accentuating my green eyes and making them pop. I felt a surge of confidence wash over me, knowing that tonight was going to be unforgettable.

Zack had taken me to a beauty salon, and the staff worked their magic on my hair, face, and nails. I felt like a brand new person after I walked out of the salon—a transformation I hadn’t realized I needed until now.

It had been such a wonderful day with Zack. For once, I truly felt like a little princess—like I belonged, like I was wanted.

Carefully, I sat down on the bed and pulled my new shoes closer. They were going to complete my look and make me at least six inches taller. My fingers trailed over the beautiful shoes, and a soft smile tugged at my lips. As I admired them, I couldn’t help but think about Sade and her shoe fiasco with her mom earlier.
