Chapter 98. Homewrecker
Lex’s POV
The drive back home was faster than I anticipated, yet excruciating in a way I couldn’t quite explain. Lilly’s orange blossom scent filled the car, intoxicating me, stoking a wild need beneath my skin. Lotus was relentless, urging me to pull over and make love to her right then and there. In the last few minutes alone, I’d imagined enough ways to touch her to keep us busy in the SUV for a month.
But I knew if I stopped now, we wouldn’t make it home—and there were things I needed to handle first. Business that couldn’t wait. I gripped the wheel, knuckles white, determined to see this through.
The guards recognized my vehicle and swung the gates open as we approached. The familiar crunch of gravel under the tires did nothing to ease the tension in my body. I glanced at Lilly—my precious, beautiful mate—and silently vowed to do everything in my power to protect her and stop Sade, no matter the cost.
