Summer POV
I texted my sister and told her to meet me at Dad’s house after dinner. I didn’t miss being Marcella’s slave, yet here I was. Dad’s truck wasn’t parked out front, so he must be at the base cooking up a plan to protect the pack since Blake vowed to make us pay for locking him up.
“Uh, look what the cat dragged in?” Rachel smiled. She put down her magazine and uncrossed her legs.
“Is it Summer?” Marcella barked.
I paused at the door and frowned. Rachel smiled brighter. Marcella stormed into the living room.
“You little bitch. I can’t believe we’ve been harbouring a fugitive all this time.”
I clenched my jaw. “You don’t know the full story.”
“How can we even trust you, Summer? You say he tried to rape you but you’ve lied so much. You even let Ezra mark you with possession, knowing you were a fugitive. I’m sure you killed an innocent man just because you could.”
