Summer POV
“Yup, that mark is definitely gone.” Henrietta yanked my shirt down and proceeded to her workstation, also known as her living room.
“Gone where, though?”
“It’s fishy, honey, but it’s a good thing. You won’t get wolf sickness anymore. Isn’t that great?” Henrietta beamed.
“I guess so, but Jacob’s family aren’t the nicest people. I don’t think they’d take the curse away for no reason.”
“I know. Gardenia Sullivan has a notorious reputation that’s worse than her husband’s.”
I grimaced and nodded. I’d only met her a handful of times. I knew she didn’t like me, but Jacob always put his family in their place when it came to me.
“She has a right to come after me, I killed her son.”
“Her son had no right to put his hands on you. I’m going to put more protection magic on you. Just to be safe.”
That might not protect me from Jacob’s overambitious siblings, but it will slow them down.
