Chapter 48

Summer POV

Sophia yanked my hair, the more I shoved her the worse the hair-pulling got.

“You’re insane!” I screeched.

“You should be dead!”

I kneed her thigh. She released me. I shoved her against the counter and she cried out.

“You deserve ass-kicking for being such a bitch!”

She smirked. “You don’t know who you’re up against.”

“I do. A thief.”

Sophia laughed. She lunged at me. I tripped whilst trying to dodge her. She hurled me to the ground. I banged my head on the ground. Sophia wrapped her fingers around my neck squeezed with her superhuman strength and kept my body on the ground by straddling me. She cut off my air supply and nearly snapped my neck.

I gripped her wrists and used my body to slam hers against the kitchen aisle. Sophia wouldn’t release me this time though.

She leaned forward. Her sick laughter was thick with heavy pants. “Don’t worry I’ll take care of Ezra for us.”

She released my neck.
