Summer POV
He was low-key pissed at me and he would be madder when I told him I was planning on meeting Derek so I decided not to tell him. Word of Hunter’s curse had gotten out so he had to speak to his council and the Alpha’s court. Hunter was still locked up but he was wild. I worried he might hurt himself if he wasn’t helped soon.
I rubbed his thigh as we drove back to the Pack.
“I’m sorry about Hunter,” I said.
“It’ll be fine.”
“Do you think you can find a cure to the curse?”
He gripped the stirring wheel. “I’ll talk to Henrietta. I have some of his blood.”
“Are you going to ask her about your possibly fake connection to Sophia?”
“I’d rather just leave things as they are. You’re my mate and that’s it.”
“Okay, babe. Why don’t you leave me in town and then go on to your meeting?”
He glanced at me. “Why?”
“Because you have a meeting to get to I don’t want to hold you up.”
