“So killing me would make you feel better, huh?” I asked her, and she tightened her grip on the gun against my head as she stared deeper into my eyes.
“Yes, it would, and you are a—” she tried to say, but I cut her off.
“A disgrace… that’s what I am, right? You’ve told me that more times than I can count. I know. I am a disgrace to you, and you don’t need to tell me again.”
“No! You’re worse than that. You animal. You are the worst I have ever known. My greatest mistake. I told you—I told you—you ruined everything for me. I will kill you. I mean every word,” she hissed, and I let out a small chuckle.
“A killer doesn’t hesitate or show mercy. Just like you killed several men you were with for their money. I knew it was only a matter of time before Brian would be out of the picture and you would take control of everything,” I hissed
