Chapter 17. Lota or Mu
I expected Kenneth, or what was his name now?—Michael, Michael Wolfie—would bang on the door, but nothing so far. I exhaled and threw myself on the bed. It was an exhausting day. Meeting with Constantine’s father was difficult. I knew he wouldn’t allow Constantine and me to be together. But it was a mild reaction. Did I still have a chance?
I might be asleep for a few minutes. However, when the door opened, I sat immediately, worrying it might be Michael who barged in. It was dark already. Maybe it was night now. But as my eyes spotted my lover at the door, I smiled. “Hey, handsome.”
Constantine grinned, threw himself on the bed, and grabbed my waist. Later, he kissed my lips. “Hey, beautiful. Miss me already?”
“Not at all! I was asleep.”
“Really?” He frowned. “Maybe you should go back to your room then.”
I circled my hands to his neck. “Cranky.” Then I peppered kisses on his jaw and neck. “Rough day?”
